01

Your included parking space

Old Arch Cottage includes a private parking space at St Ives Rugby Club. It is off-site, not beside the front door. The property listing estimates around 10 minutes to walk downhill to the cottage and 20 minutes uphill to return. Allow extra time with luggage, children or anyone who prefers a gentler pace.

02

Before you travel

Read the arrival instructions supplied for your booking, including the parking arrangements and how to access the cottage. Save them to your phone so they are easy to find on arrival. If you have a second car, a large vehicle or particular access needs, ask the booking team in advance rather than assuming the included space will cover them.

Plan luggage separately from parking. The Digey is a historic lane; follow current signs and the booking team’s unloading instructions. Do not rely on being able to stop outside the cottage.

03

Getting back up the hill

The property listing describes a bus connection to the rugby club from outside Tate St Ives. Check the service operating during your stay before relying on it, especially for an evening return. If the uphill walk is unsuitable for your party, arrange an alternative before the day begins.

04

If you need another parking option

Trenwith is a council-operated long-stay car park. Use Cornwall Council’s live page for charges, permitted vehicles and payment arrangements. We have deliberately left out fixed tariffs because they change; use the council’s current information when planning your visit.

Once settled, consider grouping any trips that need the car into one outing. Keep a small day bag ready for walks from the cottage, and make your departure easier by packing most things the evening before. Check-out is by 10am, so allow time to retrieve the car and follow the agreed luggage arrangements.
